Students Common Meeting

A common students meeting was conducted to discuss and solve academic and extra curricular issues. The meeting was headed by Prof. R. H. Autade, I/c Principal, College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Loni. All the students of 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th Year participated in the discussion.

1. Mid term marks- Mid terms marks will not be altered and will be forwarded as per the original marks obtained by the students.
2. Participation in extra curricular activities such as sports, cultural activities and other competitions will be accounted as academic points.
3. CRs of each class will take the responsibility of preparing a list of activities and circulate it in their classes.
4. 31 blogs of college were distributed among students who will regularly update them as and when the related activities are taken.
5. Attendance: Students who have below 80% attendance will be accounted as NR and will not be allowed to take their mid- term exams.
6. All students were instructed to actively participate and prepare for games and sports.
7. Third year students will be visiting various junior colleges and take counselling regarding admissions to undergraduate colleges.
8. Sahaj yoga attendance- It is compulsory for all students to attend sahaj yoga sessions on Wednesday at 9.00- 10.00 a.m  

Meeting no- 9 Dated- 25.01.2019

A meeting regarding conducting cultural and sports events for the academic year 2018-19 was conducted. The meeting was headed by Prof. S. G. Warkhad, Student council incharge, Prof. M. R. Shelke, Cultural Incharge. The sports and cultural events to be taken were discussed with student council members. The decisions taken were to be communicated to Principal of College of Agricultural Biotechnology, Loni, and incharges of cultural events of College of Agriculture, Loni and College of Agricultural Business Management, Loni.

Meeting no. 7- Dated- 10.01.2019


Minutes of Meeting headed by Prof. Warkhad, Student council incharge, Prof. M. A. Chandre and Prof. A. R. Savant on 10.01.2019.

1. Mid term exams of 4th year(8thsem) students postponed to 5th& 6th February due to CMAT exam on 28th January 2019. Students should present status and updates of their projects on given dates. If any student fails to present or remain absent then he or she will not be allowed to present their work in final exam.
2. Since assignments books (of 200 pages) mostly remain unused, it will be permitted to use one assignment book for 2-3 subjects by discussing with lecturers.
3. Issue of badges for council members will be discussed
4. ID cards will be checked by Central chemical store lab I/C before issuing glassware’s and consumables.
5. For solving the issue of submitting glassware’s, not taken by the students, all 8thsemesterHOT    students will submit the glassware’s in central chemical lab and reissue on new name.
5.Master manual for each subject of B.Tech(Biotech) will be prepared by respective course teacher till 20th Feb 2019.
6.PDF or notes will be given during lecture or immediately after lecture and not right before exam.
7.Issuing 2 books on 1 library card will be discussed
8. Disposal of waste from PTC lab will be looked into.
9.Fermenter will be made available in FB lab for final year project students.
10. Distillation units in FB and BIO lab will be repaired by next week till 19/1/19.
11. Girls common room will be decided by next week 19/1/19
12. Hangers for placing bags and chappal stands will be provided
13.Arranging Educational tours for all years will be on priority list by discussing with concerned staff
14.Harmonium has been made available for being used on various occasions on request from Kalamanchgroup
15.Mid term timetable will be issued one week prior to the students.

Meeting No. 6 - Dated: 12.10.2018

Minutes of Meeting headed by  Prof. R. H. Autade, I/c Principal, CABT Loni, on 12.10.2018.

1. I/c Principal welcome all the students council members, then instructed to maintain the meeting register properly as per following SOP…
a) Circular of the Meeting with Agendas of Meeting should be prepared with Principal Signature and Students Council Chairman Sign
b) Signs of all the attendees should be taken on the Meeting Register
c) Minutes of the meeting should be prepared as per the discuss on each agenda
d) The entire document should have the Principal Signature, College Letter Head and Students Council Chairman Sign and stick it to meeting register. 
2. Decision has been taken regarding overlapping of semester examination of the final year students and letter has been sent to the university.
3. The Plant tissue culture lab will soon be improved and the Museum hall will also be revamped.
4. A pole will be erected with hangers to place bags of the students near every lab and a chappal stand would be made,the work is under progress.
5. The floor of the seminar hall is repaired.
6. Wifi issues will be checked and solved soon.
7. College Registration decision is not as per flexibility of college. It follows guidelines from university. Hence, the decision is with-held.
8. Educational Tour will be during the semester break.
9. Badges will soon be allotted to the students indulged in special college activities.
10. Ice Flaker machine will soon be repaired and new Air conditioners will be available in the labs.
11. ID cards should be checked before the usage or issuing of any lab equipment or chemical in central lab.
12. There will betransparency regarding the Tour fees.
13. Special meeting of the Principal and Class representatives was held to check the syllabus completion and other academic related issues
14. White screens will be set for the projectors in every classroom.
15. Dustbins will be allotted in classrooms.
16. Master manual should be there in every lab for the reference of students while completing hand-written manuals.
17. Assignment distribution will be according to the subjects and 3-4 subjects will be assigned per month.
18. The advice regarding setting up a wash basin in central lab will be considered.  
19. There will be hand written manuals for each semester.
20. Titration tubes and stands are not enough for students in Dept. of Biochemistry.
21. Disposable equipment’s should not beasked to resubmit again to central store.
22. Students are afraid of the taking the glassware and equipment’s as they are afraid of breakage. All batch students are responsible for the breakage hence the respective teaching staff should coordinate that not only specific students should be forced to issue the requirements. All students should be encouraged to issue the requirements in rotation.
23. Micropipette tips should be prefilled in the boxes available.
24. PCR tubes should be made available for practical.
25. Many computers in the computer laboratory are under maintenance, I/c Principal has asked students to prepare a paper slip write a problem you faced with PC and stick it to backside of the cdesktop, so the technician can correct it. 
26. Mixer tools are not working properly.
27. Cotton is soon to be out of stock in laboratory. 
28. Fermenter should be started in the FB Dept. 

29. At the end of the meeting Prof. Autade R. H., I/c Principal inform students council about quality thinking in the College (If you change the thinking the environment around automatically changes), Event Planning for Juniors by Seniors, do not hesitate to demand, set the good traditions in the College so those can be followed by the juniors, Do not spend money for College work always ask for compensation  if spent, behavior in the College premises should be ideal, put forward the problems you face in College, organize the College if you see unorganized things in College correct it or inform about it etc.

Meeting No- 5 Dated- 31.08.2018

Minutes of Meeting headed by Dr. M. B. Khetmalas, Director of Agri and allied colleges, Prof. R. H. Autade, I/c Principal, CABT Loni, Prof. S. A. Fargade,  student council incharge on 31.08.2018


 1. The issue of Lecture sessions timing to be shifted will be solved as additional space has been assigned to the college.
2. Prof. Nalge S. S. will be joining the college on 5th September for the courses:
Breeding of field crops – 3 Semester
Technological Applications in food processing – 5 Semester
Brewing Technology- 7 Semester
3. In subjects with more backlog students, clubs will be formed and special attention taken.
4. Newly appointed Computer lab assistant will take care of the issues of projector in computer lab.
5. The details regarding common offs should be well discussed and coordinated among students and lecturers keeping in mind the loses that would result to both college and the students.
6. Examinations will be monitored under CCTV to prevent and control malpractices during examinations.
7. Dr. Madhukar Khetmalas offered to take a guest lecture for improving English vocabulary, speaking skills, facing interviews, etc as a part of personality development.
8. Seniors and University players of college will guide juniors as coaches for different games
9. The permission regarding having a special bus for college is in process and will solve the issue of arranging buses for going to other colleges for sports.
10. Sports hours cannot be included in the time table as it involves guidelines from university.
11. Separate play grounds for various games are under process and will be available for students.
12. Regarding separate chemical room for each floor, the matter will be discussed and investigated
13. Decision has been taken to specially dispose laboratory wastes by segregating them properly using color specific bags.
14. A new fermenter will be issued to FB Department
15. Various competitions will be organized for students for improving innovative ideas for students.
16. Parents will be invited for first year orientation program and class wise parent – teacher interaction will be planned.
17. The CR will take responsibility of reducing the work load such as solving question papers and assignments by negotiating with the respective lecturer.
18. Mid-term marks will be displayed on the notice board.
19. There will be change in selection procedure of NSS candidates. There will be a written test and interview which will be co-ordinated by Prof. Gaikar.
20. Library issues regarding card will be discussed and decision taken
21. Earn and Learn team will be incharge for improving greenery and ornamental plants in the campus.
22. Ladies common room and Boys common room will be made available
23. Newsletter team will give special stories on Rabi crops for making farmers aware of new innovations and biotechnology by co-ordinating with YIN
24. Notices should be given regarding holidays.
25. Strict action will be taken against irregular students.
26. Discipline issues will not be tolerated and strictly followed.
27. Cultural secretary will update photographs on the notice board.
28. Allotment of the extra marks to the students taking part in the College activities and presenting the posters & papers in seminar, workshop etc.
